Georgia and Randy ~ Spartanburg, SC Wedding Photographer

Pretty Place is such a beautiful chapel with amazing views. Georgia and Randy shared an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. Here is a little peek into their special day.

I couldn't pass up the photo opportunity in this beautiful wild flower field. I only wish there were more around here.

Rome

Meet little Rome. I photographed him at 7 days. He was super sweet during our session. He was wide awake until the end when he fell asleep in my arms. I'm telling you when you put a baby in a tiny basket all snuggled in or on a super soft bean bag they're so peaceful and content. I'm going to be able to watch this little guy grow because his mommy is the editor for Belle Magazine, the magazine I do the fashion photography for. Here are a few of my favorites.

2009

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!! I'm sure many of you have made at least one New Years resolution. One of my resolutions is to post more on my blog. Last year was pretty hectic so I neglected my blog but this year I plan to post more pictures from my sessions.

Speaking of sessions, Valentines Day is right around the corner!!

Ladies~ Ask your man to "be mine" with a boudoir session!! They're fun, sexy, and simply THE BEST gift to give him.
Men~ Tell her how HOT you think she is with a gift certificate for a boudoir session! Call for details.

A little information about appointments:
I only do a limited amount of sessions per month so you must book in advance. This time of year sessions are booked on Fridays and Saturdays only so please keep that in mind when planning a date. Soon-to-be moms can call me with their due date and I will make adjustments to my schedule when your baby arrives. Newborns are photographed best when they are 7 days and under. They simply sleep better and are easier to curl up in those precious poses. I do custom birth announcements as well.

I think that covers it all for now so I'll leave you with a photo! This was my favorite from our session. Her parents got it big to go on their wall at home.

So Happy!

Other photographers and moms can relate when I say it is very hard and nerve wracking to get a nice picture of both of your kids together. Even more difficult is to get one that you just love. Well the picture fairy must have been looking out for me this evening when I decided on a whim to take my kids out for some pictures. They were perfect! I couldn't have asked for better behavior. First it was freezing and I was on a pretty tight time frame because the sun was setting quickly. That's a sign of disaster when taking pictures of your own. I'm so grateful that it worked out. Many relatives were asking for new pictures of them together and leave it to a photographer to wait until the last minute! Shouldn't I know better than that! This one is going on my wall at home, I just love how it turned out!

Engagement Session~ Country Style

I love taking pictures of old barns and rustic places. Even better than that is beautiful people in rustic places! So I had the best of both worlds (Oh great, now I have that darn Hannah Montana song on my mind) when I shot Amanda and David's engagement session outdoors at a family members farm. After the shoot we went across the street where they celebrated their engagement with close family and friends at their engagement party. This is just one of the many pictures taken that day. Many more are on the way!

Just a little test

I'm adjusting my blog so I can post larger pictures. This is my test run.....let's hope it works! I love the lighting on his face in this picture. It shows his sweet profile. Amazing what some window light can do.

Charleston

I had the pleasure of doing Kasey and Craig's Engagement session in Charleston this past weekend. We started out at the College of Charleston where they met while attending college. It is such a beautiful college with many photo opportunities. Then we walked around the historic homes and I was in heaven! Not only do I love Charleston but it is a photographers dream place to shoot! I took an enormous amount of pictures so this is only a teeny sample. I wanted to give them a sneak peak, so here you go Kasey! I'll post more as I edit them. :-)

My issues....

There must be something wrong with me.......I don't know how or when it started but I have developed some kind of fear about getting my son's hair cut. Even thinking about it now, well.....makes my heart race. Yes I know, I must have issues hence the title of this post. I have literally walked out after having him sit in the chair for a few moments and chicken out. That day I politely asked the stylist if she could pretend to cut his hair so I wouldn't have to deal with a tantrum for walking out. Fast forward many months and my beautiful baby boy (yes I know he's 3) is being called "she" by strangers. I decide it's time for a hair cut. I get up this morning determined to have it done. Go to the stylist and explain how, ....well how should I put it....anal I am about his hair style. I was a stylists nightmare I'm sure.

"Please don't make it look like it was just cut, and can you do it like this....etc."

I'm such an easy going person so I don't understand what my deal is with his hair. I guess since he's growing up so fast I feel like if he gets a big boy hair cut that he'll be a big boy.

Oh well it's done now......4 inches cut off!!! And it's still kinda long. This is his before picture. I don't have an after yet but I'm sure I will soon. Thanks for letting me have my therapy session. ;-) Maybe there are more like me and we can start a group.
